After doing the worksheet on this I decided that I am really good about doing fun activities outside the home. Going to the park, Legoland, stuff like that… However, One thing I find difficult is doing more creative things like creating a scavenger hunt or perhaps building a fort. I noticed that Jack enjoys these kinds of activities and I often feel a but lazy to do them because it requires more effort and intention from me. I will try one or both of these things this week. 😀

If it’s not a strength of yours, but something you want to do, consider putting him in charge and you be the helper. For example, he can lead the fort building and you just help him.

But, remember, the idea of this challenge is to focus on things that make YOU feel good, things that YOU are good at. I want this connection challenge to be something you enjoy and fills your bucket along with his. This is about connecting via sharing your gifts and strengths.

So, for example, if you’re good at taking him places outside the home, take him somewhere like an escape room where you just have to show up (although he may be a little young for them). There’s also online scavenger hunts already done for you. Or have him make a scavenger hunt for you!
